Anxiety disorders & executive functions

Vast research has been done on the relationship between anxiety disorders and executive functioning, but results have been inconsistent. Furthermore, there is a widespread assumption that anxiety disorders lead to executive deficits. But is that really the case? In this meta-analysis, we aimed to consolidate findings from various studies to better understand this association.
